A people leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations manage and grow their talent, Sara is an executive coach, talent leader, emcee, high-impact facilitator, and Diversity & Culture expert.

Sara is known for her ingenuity, quick wit, and passion for inclusivity. She has helped industry leaders hone their strategies, inspire their teams to achieve greater results, and have way too much fun along the way. When people walk away from a conversation with Sara, they’re ready to take on the world.

 

Sara has led people functions for several high-growth start-ups, including Snapchat. She has designed and managed Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Immigration, Diversity & Employee Culture, and Onboarding & Offboarding functions.

 

The founder of Facebook’s Diversity & Inclusion function, Sara developed the company’s employee resource community and laid the foundation for their strategy of encouraging people to be their authentic selves at work. The original face of Facebook’s industry-famous new-hire experience, Sara launched the company’s first ever Engineering Leadership & Coaching program and the Mentoring & Coaching programs.

 

Sara is the proud momma of an amazing daughter who keeps her laughing and singing on a daily basis.

Strengths:

A glass half-full outlook, total fascination with people and organizational behavior, strategic big-picture thinker, love for developing others, and a complete unwavering commitment to chocolate.

A 25-year veteran of the Valley tech industry, Stu has led People & Learning functions at start-ups and multinationals during the last two great cycles of hyper growth and innovation in the industry, in both Europe and the US.

With a practical and positive approach to hard work, Stu has built and led Talent Development at tech giants Yahoo! and Facebook. During his seven years at Facebook, Stu was the architect of the company’s now famous strengths-based, high-performance strategy, and led the design and launch of it’s widely acclaimed new hire, manager development and leader development programs. He also played an integral role in the People Leadership team that helped Facebook go public, and rocket the company to the top of the Glassdoor index of best places to work in corporate America.

 

Stu has traveled, lived and worked in more than 45 countries. He has extensive international HR experience, including helping organizations establish new global operations, and has taught leaders across Europe, Asia and The Americas. An Executive Coach, Stu trained at the prestigious Hudson Coaching Institute of Santa Barbara. He also has one of those annoying British accents. (wink)

 

Stu now lives in Morgan Hill, California with his husband Brian, and their daughters, Lydia, Phoebe and Esther.
